Blackberries have a unique flavor that is warmly sweet, slightly tart with earthy undertones. Like raspberries, Blackberries are not actually a berry, rather an aggregate fruit with individual drupelets that are held together by very fine, nearly invisible hairs. When ripe, Blackberries have a deep ink sheen with purple highlights. They're great as a snack, in salads, in berries pies, and pair especially well with balsamic vinegar in dressings.
Keep refrigerated, wash before use.
